by Serge TREFEU (2016)

Jaid nicknamed "Little Big Man" began the boxing enough late, towards the age of 18 years. But this wonder boy of boxing rings is quickly going to become an exceptional champion. He begins his apprenticeship of Muay Thai to the Bellonie Gym in city of Montreuil beside French legends of Muay Thai such as Stephane Nikiema and Philippe Cantamessi. Then, he will train for the famous Yamatsuki Gym held by Master Paschy, and will end his career in one of the biggest gym of moment, the Derek Boxing. The trainers of time to the Derek were the famous brothers Desjardins, René and Antoine.

For his first fight, Jaid meets a boxer who is 10 kg more than him, but he gains his match by flooring several times his opponent!

Down from it's 1m60, Jaid is not a giant but his mental and his aggressiveness to win on the boxing ring impresses a lot of people.

Jaid takes away his first title important in 1983 by becoming a France champion of Thai boxing. Then, in 1986, he won champion's belt of Europe - 52 kg against Ploos, a Dutch of famous Chakuriki Gym. The Dutch was heavier than Jaid but French is going to put him KO with a magnificent blow of knees. The fight was live broadcast on the channel Canal+, Jaid was one of the French first ones to fight on TV Canal+.

The title of European champion, Jaid won ten times in four different categories!

For this belt, he beat in particular killers of the discipline such as the Dutch Mickael Lieuwfat (World champion of Thai boxing) which was 5 kilos more than Jaid when they were in confrontation, Jaid broke the knee of the Dutch. As well as rough Belgian champion Yigin Osman (World champion of Thai boxing, world champion of Kickboxing) whom he beat at his home in Belgium for champion's belt of Europe in Kickboxing.

Jaid often met fighters heavier than him as the great champion Abel El Quandili (World champion of Kickboxing, world champion of Full contact) who was 7 kilos more than him (Lose in points)...

His first title of World champion in Thai boxing, Jaid is going to take away him in front of formidable Thai Payatnoi, in 1991, in Paris, in the Japy stadium. He will gain three times the supreme title.

WORLD CHAMPION OF THAI BOXING

But Jaid was also a bulimic of the fight, he did not hesitate to go to challenge the champions in other disciplines that him. He's so going to become a world champion and a Europe champion in Kickboxing and in Full contact, and same Vice World champion in Savate boxing!

Jaid was a charismatic boxer because he revealed his enthusiasm as well on the boxing ring as outside the boxing ring. His fighter's nickname "Little Big Man" reflects well his great career!

His incredible fight's record he owes him to his work persisted in the training and in his big experience in Thailand. Jaid went in Thailand at the beginning of the 80s. It was one of the French first ones to fight in the stadium of Ratchadamnoen then in the stadium of Lumpinee. And when he fought in Thailand it was for the biggest promoter of the Lumpinee, Mr. Songchai Ratanasuban.

But it was especially an adventurer of training camps in Thailand, authentic camps in which he forged his mental warrior and acquired the techniques of pure Muay Thai. At that time, for a foreigner, it was not also easy as today to integrate a camp of boxing in Thailand. It was necessary to prove his value as much on the boxing ring as to the training to be accepted by the owner of the camp...

His first camp was the one of the promoter Naris in Bangkok. A renowned camp where was the champions Attapong, Yousoth, Lomthai, Somsong, Kiosot...

It's thanks to his numerous trainings in these various camps and his two memorable fights in front of killers Hippy and Rambo that Jaid was enormously respected by Thai. Despite to have lost in points in the face of Hippy in Paris and against Rambo in Japan, Jaid marked the spirits of the Thai fans because his two fights were broadcast live by a Thai TV channel!

HIPPY SINGMANEE

RAMBO PONGSIREE

Indeed, little foreign fighter can brag to have faced the champions such as Hippy Singmanee and Rambo Pongsiree who were in Thailand the real scarecrows of the discipline!

Jaid had become so much known in Thailand in the world of Muay Thai that he sometimes supported two champions at the same time who fought in the Lumpinee or Radja. During match between two boxers which he knew, not to hurt the owners and the boxers of the camp, Jaid was going to encourage during a round a champion then in the following round he went fast in the corner from the other fighter...
