PONGSIRI POR RUAMRUEDEE AGAINST PAIROJNOI SOR SIAMCHAI!

The 90s it was a little the golden age of Muay Thai in Thailand, a time when the champions were in confrontation without calculated them points, without control constantly, they fought from the first sound of the gong and till the end of the round, practically without time-out, what offered hallucinating battles!

His titanic fights were born thanks to brilliant promoters such as Kleo Sor Thanikul and Songchai Rattanasuban. His great promoters knew organized exceptional events, the oppositions between the best fighters of moment, the matches where the champions of the same strength met respectfully, epic fights which made vibrated the public of the stadium Lumpinee!

At that time, Songchai was one of the most skillful promoters to arrange fights balanced between the biggest champions of the planet. And the famous promoter has to organize many big events. But in 1988, he put on amazing event with what did best this year, a unique evening with the elite of the champions!

The fight card included five important fights which were Samransak Muangsurin against Jareonthong Kietbanchong, Wangchainnoi Sor Palangchai against Chamophet Ha Phalang, Hippy Singmanee against Paleuhatlek Sitchunthong, Pongsiri Por Ruamruedee against Pairojnoi Sor Siamchai and Sekson Sitjoenthong against Karuhate Sor Supawan!
All the fights were memorable but the fight between Pongsiri and Pairojnoi is the most intense with the win on points of Pairojnoi. A revenge taken place in 1989 which gave one of the most violent fights of the story of Muay Thai!

Pairojnoi Sor Siamchai is a great champion of the 90s who leave its mark on the story of Muay Thai. Author of memorable fights, Pairojnoi began the boxing with monks in a temple in his native region of Chachoengsao. Then he made his fighter's career to the camp Sor Siamchai to Chachoengsao whose promoter was Songchai Rattanasuban, the promoter N° 1 of the time!

Pairojnoi was nicknamed "Ayleuhatlek" (The bloody steel), his fighting spirit on the boxing ring was exceptional, it was a wild fighter, a great durable boxer with the head of steel that moved forward on his opponents such a furious rhinoceros!

In 1987, Pairojnoi has to gain the belt of Lumpinee in 105 lbs against Kompayak Singmanee, a formidable champion who was of the same camp as the famous Hippy Singmanee.

Pairojnoi beat big names of Muay Thai during his career as the bull Karuhat Sor Supawan (Lumpinee Champion) and Silachai Wor Preecha (Somjit Jongjohor) who is later Golden medal in the Games Olympic of Beijing in 2008!
But his hardest opponent was terrible Pongsiri « Rambo » Por Ruamruedee !

Pairojnoi made 250 fights for 180 victories, 60 defeats and 10 draws, he fought in Lumpinee a lot, in mythical stadium he made 130 fights and kept three times his belt of Lumpinee!
After his career of fighter he became a trainer in Thailand but he especially travelled a lot abroad to give lessons of Muay Thai, seminars whom he gave in Italy, in Japan, in Hong-Kong and in Brazil.

In Brazil, he stayed there six months and it is created by numerous contacts with the Brazilian fighters. Brazilian boxers who came then to train in the camp Kor Romsritong. The camp where Pairojnoi was main trainer during many years, a camp which was to Samut Sakhon and which is unfortunately closed today. To the camp Kor Romsritong, Pairojnoi often prepared the Brazilian champions Cosmo Alexandre (World champion WPMF, Champion S1, World champion It's Show Time) and Leo Monteiro (WMC MAD Champion, Champion of the Stadium Chaweng, Champion of São-Paulo)!

Pairojnoi formed, among others, the champions Kamlaiyok Kor Romsritong (Lumpinee champion, TV7 Champion), Kongmuanjan Kor Romsritong (Lumpinee Champion, TV7 Champion), Kongbeng Kor Romsritong (Thailand Champion) and Asawin Kor Romsritong (Thailand Champion)!

Then when the Kor Romsritong camp closed, Pairojnoi left to the famous camp Sitsongpeenong to Bangkok. With the famous trainer Pipa, he prepared several times Kem Sitsongpeenong and Sittichai Sitsongpeenong, both stars of the camp!

THREE LEGENDS IN THE SITSONGPEENONG GYM, PAIROJNOI SOR SIAMCHAI, SANGTIENNOI SOR RUNGROJ AND BOWEE SOR UNDOMSON!

Today, Pairojnoi goes created his own camp, "Pairojnoi Muay Thai" who will open his doors in 2014. The camp will be situated on the paradisiac island of Koh Samui in the South of the country, in the North of the island in the village of Bang Po, the village in approximately eight kilometers of the small sea resort of Bo Phut...

PONGSIRI « RAMBO » POR RUAMRUEDEE !

Pongsiri Por Ruamruedee of his real name " Phayboun Ladnongkhi " was born in the city of Thaleang in the province of Nakhon Ratchasima, in the northeast of the Thailand.

This fighter was nicknamed "Rambo" because he had a very aggressive style of boxing such a mercenary soldier who assaults the boxing ring. It was a steamroller, a tank which moved forward constantly on his opponents. Rambo was a terror in the time in the category 112 lbs and 115 lbs, many fighters were afraid of him, he rose on the boxing ring with pirate's flag, black flag with a white death's-head, a death's-head which he also raised on his boxing robe and his pair of shorts, to frighten his opponents...

He made history of Muay Thai with his style of boxing, a fighter who moved forward on his opponents, without moving back, as a furious buffalo. Later, in the 2000s, the champion Bowee Sor Udomson had a style of similar boxing. To such a point that Bowee was nicknamed "New Rambo", he had even taken back the emblem of Pongsiri, a white death's-head which he wore on his pair of shorts!

Pongsiri Por Ruamruedee has never gained a belt of the big stadiums of Bangkok but there were for a long time N ° 1 of Lumpinee by facing all the tenors of his category, he beat great champions as Hippy Singmanee, Toto Por Pongsawang, Nungubon Sitlerdchai and many others...
He also overcame foreign champions such as the formidable dutch Michael Lieuwfat and the great french champions Jaid Seddak and Khaled Hebieb!

Pongsiri has to stop his career early enough, at the age of 25, because after practically each of his fights he was hurt and often ended at the hospital, he has sudden important operations in particular in ears. Pongsiri made too many hard fights which unfortunately marked him physically...
When he ended his career he moved in singer, he sang for a moment songs Folk in the provinces of the country. But he has to continue to train for Muay Thai and was for a while a trainer to the camp Muaythai Plaza in Bangkok...

Pairojnoi and Pongsiri always made fights of anthologies, his both " Muay Bouk " (Fighter moves forward) was three times in confrontation, in 1988 Pairojnoi beat Pongsiri, the following year Pongsiri took his revenge in points and they met third time with a draw!

July 25th, 1989, in Lumpinee, revenge for fights between Pongsiri and Pairojnoi reached the record 3 million baht sum, the first one in the history of Muay Thai!

Pairojnoi and Rambo made a fight of madness, a match in which both fighters were up to the end of themselves, cut everything them two to faces, stained with blood, each has was almost stopped on wound. But they fought up to the last one minutes of fifth rounds, Rambo will take away the fight in points. Both fighters shall finish exhausted at the hospital...

The match will be elected best fight of the year and denote as the hardest fight of its last twenty years, the match of the century!

Nowadays, the matches between former champions became fashionable in the stadiums of Bangkok, a remake of the match between Pongsiri and Pairojnoi had to take place in 2013 with a million baht dumpan. But finally Pongsiri faced another former champion, Langsuan Phanyuthaphum. A fight organized again by the promoter Songchai Rattanasuban and who taken place in the stadium of Radja on August 5th, 2013. Pongsiri and Langsuan had already met three times twenty years ago with two victories for Langsuan, the match ended by a draw both old men rivals...
