KUNSUKLEK “THE PRINCE OF THE RINGS” BOOMDEKSIEN, PHENOMENAL BOXER UNDEFEATED FOR SIX YEARS, VOTED “BEST BOXER OF THE YEAR 2024”!
by Serge TREFEU (2025)
Kunsuklek, whose real name is Tisakorn Sriphromma, was born on June 7, 2005, in the village of Nong Kung Yai, located in the Kranuan district of Khon Kaen province, in the northeast region of Thailand.
His twin brother, Kunsuknoi, also took up boxing. Very close to their grandparents, the two brothers developed their passion for the sport thanks to their grandfather, who regularly took them to watch fights at boxing shows organized in the Khon Kaen countryside.
From the age of five, the twins already showed a keen interest in the sport, which they watched with admiration and enthusiasm.
The twins initially began training Muay Thai on their own, self-taught from a very young age. Around the age of nine, they began training seriously, without a coach, guided solely by the guidance of their grandfather, who had given them their first boxing equipment.

The two brothers then began traveling around the Northeast region to participate in fights. They were then taken in by two boxing instructors from their village, Kru Lek and Kru Tong, who supervised them and supported them in their first truly structured training sessions.
After having fought around twenty fights in different provinces, Kru Tong decided, when the twins were 12 years old, to present them to the famous Boomdeksien camp, so that they could be taken care of by its owner, Mr. Boom Apiprat – a boxing enthusiast, and more specifically, children’s boxing. Located in Udon Thani, in the Northeast region of Thailand, the Boomdeksien camp was then one of the most renowned in the Isaan region for training young boxers.
In 2019, Mr. Boom Apiprat, in collaboration with Sor Sangthai Gym, founded a new camp in the Bangkok region, in Nonthaburi, in the Rattana Lake View Village district. It is in this new Boomdeksien Gym that Kunsuklek and Kunsuknoï continue their training to this day.

Initially, Mr. Boom Apiprat was reluctant to take on a second pair of boxing twins, as his camp already boasted the renowned Muay Thai prodigies Yodpet Ek and Yodpet Oh. The latter were renowned for their impressive Dumpan (betting) fights, which fetched 600,000 baht, and later rose to 4 million baht.
Managing two talented twin duos in one camp presented a real challenge.
But Mr. Boom Apiprat eventually agreed to take on Kunsuklek and Kunsuknoi— a decision that proved wise, as the two brothers quickly achieved a reputation equal to that of Yodpet Ek and Yodpet Oh.

Kunsuklek Boomdeksien quickly established himself as a ring prodigy, admired for his precocious talent and determination. He was nicknamed “Faedjaonamtaa” (the Twin with Tears of Joy) and “Jaofeust” (the First Prince) by Thai fans.
He won the Isaan regional championship belt at a young age, and remarkably, from the age of 13, he went undefeated until 2024—a rare feat in the world of Muay Thai, which is lauded for its longevity and consistency.

To date, Kunsuklek boasts an impressive record of 95 fights, including 84 wins, 9 losses, and 2 draws.
He is a complete boxer, capable of anything in the ring. Technically, he knows how to adapt to all styles of opponents he faces.
His mastery of dodging and taking down is remarkable.

His brother, Kunsuknoï Boomdeksian, nicknamed “Faedtheewada” (the Angel-faced Twin), has also established himself as a great Muay Thai champion. He has an impressive total of 101 fights to his name, with 91 wins, 7 losses and 3 draws.
Like his brother, he won the Isaan regional championship belt in his youth, before going on to claim major titles: the belt of the famous Omnoi stadium at 118 lbs, as well as the gold medal at the Muay Thai amateur world championships.
2021 was a particularly successful year for him, with 9 fights and 8 victories. In 2022, he had 7 fights, including 6 wins and one draw. It’s worth noting that 10 of his victories were by knockout, confirming his power and formidable technique in the ring.
On October 3, 2022, Kunsuknoi faced Yodbawngam Lakhkibantheing in a high-stakes fight, with a Dumpan of 2 million baht. The closely contested duel ended in a draw, but Kunsuknoi gained revenge in the rematch on November 20, 2022, with a resounding victory.
On December 24, 2022, in Ratchaburi province, at the same gala where Kunsuklek won the Thai title, Kunsuknoï distinguished himself by defeating Songchainoi Kiatsongrit. The two brothers achieved a feat by each winning the “Best Fighter of the Night” trophy, once again confirming their status as prodigies.
On March 10, 2023, at just 17 years old, Kunsuknoï made his highly anticipated debut in the prestigious ONE Championship, in the legendary Lumpinee Stadium ring. Unfortunately, he was defeated in the first round by the formidable 28-year-old Numsurin Chor Ketweena, known for his punching power.

But Kunsuknoi quickly rebounded: on May 20, 2023, he scored a spectacular victory by knocking out Petchkongfa Sor Sommai, thus securing the Omnoi Stadium 118 lbs title—the same title his brother Kunsuklek had won in 2022.
Subsequently, despite suffering a knockout loss to Mangkonlek Plainakon at Rajadamnern Stadium, Kunsuknoi reeled off eight consecutive victories, including two by knockout.
His last fight, on April 21, 2025, ended resoundingly with a knockout over Theptaksin Sor Sonsingh—a victory that confirmed his exceptional form.

The two brothers made enormous sacrifices to achieve this level of excellence. Their childhood was marked by intensive and rigorous training, which prevented them from attending a normal school. But today, they look back on their achievements with pride, knowing that their efforts were not in vain.
Thanks to their success in the ring, Kunsuklek and Kunsuknoï are now able to fully support their parents, who no longer have to work.
Better still, they also care for their beloved grandparents, to whom they feel immense gratitude—they played a fundamental role in awakening their passion and their destiny.

The year 2022 was exceptional for Kunsuklek, who fought nine fights, winning each one with flying colors. This winning streak led him to two prestigious titles: the Thai 115 lbs title and the Omnoi Stadium 118 lbs title.
On September 3, 2022, at Omnoi Stadium, he faced Dejpichai Nawy Andaman for the 118 lbs title. Thanks to a remarkable performance, Kunsuklek won and was awarded an exceptional 50,000 baht prize, as well as the trophy for the best boxer of the night, a well-deserved recognition of his talent and dominance in the ring.

On December 24, 2022, in Ratchaburi province, Kunsuklek achieved another remarkable feat, defeating reigning champion Dinueathong Muadpong191 and capturing the 115 lbs Thailand title.
2023 marked his triumphant debut in the biggest organization today, ONE Championship, with three consecutive victories at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium. He defeated Phetbanrai Singmawinn (TV7 112 lbs champion in 2023) on January 20, then the experienced Koko Mor Rattanabandit (26 years old) on February 24 and April 28, in a rematch where he confirmed his superiority.
On September 11, 2023, at Bangkok’s Air Force Stadium, Kunsuklek struck a major blow by knocking out Han Petchkiatphet in the second round with a powerful left elbow, capturing the Thai 118 lbs title.
On January 29, 2024, in the same ring, he defended his title in a technically remarkable fight against Paeyim Sor Boonmeerit, former 2022 Rajadamnern Stadium 122 lbs champion, once again confirming his status as one of the elite Muay Thai fighters.

On April 6, 2024, Kunsuklek took on a new challenge by facing the reigning Radja stadium champion in 118 lbs, the sturdy Kumardoi Petchyindee Academy. After an exceptional fight, Kunsuklek won on points, capturing the Radja belt in 118 lbs. For his remarkable performance, he received a bonus of 500,000 baht as a reward.

On May 11, 2024, Kunsuklek continued his dominance by knocking out the formidable Petchsiam Jor Phattariya, then Radja champion at 122 lbs, while retaining his own Radja belt at 118 lbs. This resounding victory earned him a bonus of one million baht!
Kunsuklek then held a six-year unbeaten record in Muay Thai, with 41 consecutive wins (1 draw in 2019) between 2019 and July 2024. However, this perfect run came to an end when he suffered his first defeat in six years, in a clash in Japan against the young Ryuki Matsuda.
On July 14, 2024, as part of the RWS Show Japan, at the Tipstar Dome in Chiba, Kunsuklek defended his Radja belt in 118 lbs against Ryuki Matsuda, an 18-year-old Japanese fighter with a record of 13 fights and 12 KO wins. It was an explosive fight, and in the second round, after a devastating series of four consecutive blows to the face and body inflicted by the Japanese, Kunsuklek was sent to the ground, KO for more than the count. Ryuki Matsuda thus seized the Radja belt, creating a surprise among the Thai fans who did not expect such an outcome…
On September 21, 2024, the long-awaited rematch took place between Kunsuklek and Japanese champion Ryuki Matsuda, this time on the Thai champion’s home turf, at the Radja Stadium in Bangkok.
In this bout, Kunsuklek demonstrated his technical dominance, landing a series of high kicks that repeatedly landed his opponent. He won the match comfortably on points, reclaiming his Radja 118 lbs belt and receiving a 500,000 baht bonus for his outstanding performance!
After this victory, Kunsuklek expressed himself philosophically:
“When I was a child, I lost many fights. But since my first fights at 13, I’ve never lost to anyone. It’s just as stressful. The more you don’t lose, the more afraid you are of losing. And that’s what happened to me in Japan, this stress, and I lost. But in the end, I got my revenge in the second fight…”
On November 16, 2024, Kunsuklek splendidly defended his Radja belt by facing the 31-year-old Spanish champion Kevin Martínez (WPMTA World Champion, WMC European Champion) at the Radja stadium. He managed to retain his Radja title at 118 lbs with a solid performance.
A few weeks later, for his second title defense, Kunsuklek faced off against the great champion Wanchainoi S.T. Hiew Bangsaen (TV7 champion at 118 lbs) on December 21, 2024. Another points victory allowed Kunsuklek to retain his belt and receive a super bonus of 750,000 baht for his performance.
On March 22, 2025, at Radja Stadium, Kunsuklek fought a match in which he defeated Brazilian champion Leandro Douglas on points, once again confirming his dominance in the ring.
This phenomenal boxer didn’t just win fights; he also won the hearts of Thailand’s greatest sports institutions.
In April 2023, at the “Best Athletes Day” for 2022 in Bangkok, he was voted “Best Young Muay Thai Boxer of 2022” by the prestigious Sports Journalists Association of Thailand.

The following year, on December 16, 2024, during National Sports Day, Kunsuklek was awarded the title of “Best Muay Thai Athlete” by the Sport Authority of Thailand (SAT).

Radja Stadium also crowned him “Best Boxer of the Year 2024,” a significant recognition from this legendary Bangkok stadium.

On February 9, 2025, at the « Muay Thai World Festival 2025 », on the occasion of « Thai Boxing Day », Kunsuklek received the trophy for “Best Boxer of the Year 2024” awarded by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Sport Authority of Thailand, and the Office of the Boxing Commission.

On May 8, 2025, the Sports Journalists Association of Thailand awarded him the most prestigious trophy, the “Best Boxer of the Year 2024” trophy, confirming his status as an extraordinary champion.

A legend is born, and he’s not done making waves. At only 19 years old, the Prince of the Rings still has plenty to show the public, and he continues to write his own story in the rings of the Kingdom of Siam!
Saturday, May 24, 2025, could mark a historic turning point for Thailand’s most famous boxing twins.
That evening, at the legendary Rajadamnern Stadium in Bangkok, Kunsuklek will defend his -118 lbs title for the third time against Nueapayak Wor Sangkprapai. But the event takes on an even more exceptional dimension: his twin brother, Kunsuknoï, currently ranked No. 10 at the Radja Stadium, will attempt to capture the -122 lbs title against star Phetsaman Sor Saman, who will be defending his belt for the fifth time.
Two brothers, two championship fights, one night:
Are the twins ready to make history by each winning a Rajadamnern title on the same day?
A challenge worthy of their talent, an evening that could see them enter the Muay Thai pantheon!
