THE NEW PETCHYINDEE ACADEMY 2014

by Serge TREFEU (2015)

The famous Petchyindee Academy camp is reborn of its ashes. This camp had been built in 2011, it was situated on the second floor of the store Twins, in the entry of the mythical stadium Lumpinee (Old stadium). The owner was a mister Nuttadej Wachirarattanawong, the son of the famous promoter Petchyindee.

But in 2014, the stadium of Lumpinee was destroyed and the Petchyindee Academy camp had to close its doors. The boxers of the Petchyindee Academy had all left training in Petchyindee Gym, first camp of the family Wachirarattanawong which is in the district of Bangkoknoi. Petchyindee Gym, opened for more than 30 years (Petchyindee Gym was created in 1976), belongs to the biggest promoter of the Lumpinee, Mr Virat Wachirarattanawong nicknamed “Tycoon Nao”. But his promoter’s nickname is of course “Petchyindee” (The Happy Diamond).

At the end of 2014, mister Nuttadej Wachirarattanawong thus opened again a magnificent camp in the district of Bangkoknoi, the camp is in an alley near the former camp of his father.

The new Petchyindee Academy camp is in an enormous complex which is called “Petchyindee Kingdom”, it’s a building of several floors that includes, a training camp of boxing, a fitness room, a swimming pool (Jacuzzi), a sauna, a center of massage and a hotel with many rooms.
