Tournament of boxing in Thai says to itself “Muayrop(Pronounced Muay Lop). Generally, are big companies which put some money to sponsor a tournament and so make known their brand in all the country. Because an important tournament is directly broadcast on the national TV channels and the advertising fallout is enormous for the brand which sponsored the event..

The professional boxers like very much these tournaments because if they arrive in finale they can gain really very important sums of money.

The tournaments take place on several qualifying matches during year. Often, also, the protagonists are in confrontation on the same day with three matches, a quarterfinal, a semi-final and final.

The mode of the tournaments was a little launched by the promoter Songchai who created in the early 2000s, the famous Tournament S1 (Songchai N°1) more known under the name of tournament King Cup. It’s a tournament which is going to gather the best foreign fighters of the planet in – 72 kg. The winner of this tournament becomes World champion S1 and pocket the sum of one million of baths!

The tournament takes place during the King’s Birthday. Later, several tournament S1 is going to take place in various country of the world. But the most representative and main tournament will be made always during the King’s Birthday.

The first champion was legendary Australian John Wayne Parr in 2001 then the Danish Oley Laursen in 2002, Thai Suriya Sor Ploenchit in 2003, Kunsuk Petchsupapan in 2004, Lamsongkram Chuwattana in 2005, Wanlop Sitpotlek in 2006, Tum Mardsua in 2007, Kem Sitsonpeenong in 2008, Yodsaenklai Fairtex in 2010, Tengung Sitasayrung in 2014, Changpuek Muay Thai Academy in 2015, the Brazilian Cosmo Alexandre in 2009…

At present, the most known tournaments of big public are the tournaments Isuzu, Toyota Marathon, Thai Fight and Max Muay Thai.

But there are in Thailand dozens of other tournaments like the tournaments Weber, Fooktien Group, Tiger Cement, Yakayartra Mardaeng, Muay Siam, Thai Prakan Chiwit, Kay Thot Neung Laan, Meiji, CP Fresh Mart, Nok Pakhang, Wrangyer, Shell Rimula, Taweechok, Phung Mangkon, Mitsubishi…

In the stadium of Omnoi, there are many tournaments which are organized during year, the most considered is the tournaments Weber, Fooktien Group and Isuzu.

The key event of the stadium of Omnoi which takes place every year, it’s the famous Isuzu Tournament which is sponsored by the famous Japanese car brand.

Isuzu Motors Company is a gigantic company whose head office is in Bangkok on the Chalongkrung road.

This tournament is the oldest of the country still in service because it was created that in 1990, and for 25 years the champions who gained this tournament are many.

Most of the great champions of the country participated at least once in their career in it prestigious tournament. The winner in this tournament takes away the colossal million baht sum with there more a car, a Pick-up Isuzu D-Max valued at 500,000 baht. It’s Mr. Hiroshi Nakagawa, the president of the company Isuzu in Thailand, who puts back these last years officially the key of the Pick-up Isuzu D-Max to the winner of the Tournament.

The first champion of the Isuzu tournament was Ratananoy Tanesaringka in 1990. The Weber Tournament  is sponsored by the company ” Saint-Gobain Weber “. The tournament began in 2011, it was organized to celebrate 111 years of the French company ” Weber Saint-Gobain ” which was created in 1900. Weber Saint-Gobain is a world leader of mortars pre-mixed by solutions for the construction and the renovation in more than 46 countries. The Saint Gobain weber company is situated in Bangkok to the Gypsum Metropolitan Building on the Sri-Ayutthaya road. In Thailand, Weber is one of the biggest companies of products for the stone floor and the masonry.

The winner of this tournament pockets the sum of 500 000 bahts!

The first tournament it’s made in the category 130 lbs, the protagonists of the tournament were Kitisak Sititisukato, Phetmai Sakgangsit, Neungtrakarn Pealealamduan, Thewarit Sitsongpeenong, Kunsuknoi Mansongkram, Rungsiri Wor Sunthonnon, Chamophet Phetkasem and Daraek Kietkamtorn.

Neungtrakarn Pealealamduan gained the tournament by beating Kunsuknoi Mansongkram.

Then, in 2012, Dernchonlek gained the tournament in 160 lbs by beating Dejrit Popteeratham.

In 2013, Saksongkram Popteeratham won the tournament in 140 lbs against Chamuphet Phetkasem.

For year 2014, it’s the young boy Tengnueng Sitjesairong (Super X) who takes away the tournament in 154 lbs by beating by KO Kompetchlek Lookprabat.

Finally, Srimuangpai Sor Sompong gained the tournament in 154 lbs in 2015 by beating Chanchai Sitiquisato.

The Fooktien Group Tournament exists from the beginning of year 2010, it’s sponsored by a big brand which specializes chemical fertilizers for agriculture, the head office is to Hat Yai in the South.

The tournament takes place twice a year in various categories. The winner in this tournament takes away the 500 000-baht sum!

Champions such as Fahmongkol (Winner of Isuzu Tournament, Omnoi champion), Chujaroen (Lumpinee champion), Messi (N°1 TV7) gained this tournament.

In 2012, in January, Lamthong Tor Ponchay beat Saksongkram Popteeratham for the tournament Fooktien Group in 140 lbs and in July Fahmongkol Petsupaphan gained the tournament in 140 lbs against Simanoot Sor Suriya.

On February 22nd, 2014, Chujaroen Dapransarakham won the belt in 130 lbs by beating Daoprang Sakniranrat. The same year, on August 16th, Denchiangkwan Laemthongarnpaet beat in final Kaotam Lookprabaht, Denchiangkwan gained the tournament Fooktien Group in 126 lbs.

In 2015, in March, the young boy Messi Pangkongprab beat Beukban Lukmuengphet and took away the final of Fooktien Group tournament in 115 lbs. And on August 29th, for final of the tournament in 126 lbs, Plakat Por Pinapat beat Petchmuangchon Sudsakornmuaythaigym for the twelfth tournament organized by the brand.

In the stadium of Omnoi, there is also a Shell Rimula Tournament sponsored by gas stations Shell, this tournament exists since the end of 2000s. The winner of this tournament gains 250 000 baht.

THE BOXERS OF SHELL RIMULA TOURNAMENT

The Toyota Marathon Tournament is one of the most important of the country, it’s sponsored by the car brand Toyota. The Toyota Motor company is to Samut Prakarn in 30 km from Bangkok. The president of the company Toyota in Thailand is Mr. Chatchai Watchara.

For years this tournament takes place in various places of the country with several weighty categories. Created in 2002, it’s one of the tournaments in Thailand in which there are most foreign fighters who participated in it. But until today no foreign champion won the Toyota Marathon tournament…

The first champions were in 2002 the star Buakaw Por Pramuk in 140 lbs and Singdam Kiatmuu 9 in 115 lbs. Buakaw gained the Toyota Marathon tournament in 140 lbs by beating in final the Japanese champion Satoshi Kobayashi, he gained the 300 000-baht sum. Singdam beat Kongdech Kiatprapat. Singdam gained second time the Toyota tournament in 2014 but in 140 lbs when he beat the King of boxing rings Saenchai.

In 2003, powerful Yodsaenklai Petchyindee won the Toyota tournament in 126 lbs against Nopparat Keatkhamtorn in a terrible fight where Nopparat had the broken nose and ended at the hospital…

Nopparat will be again in final of the Toyota tournament in 2006 but he’s again going to lose this tournament in front of formidable Kongpipop Petchyindee who is going to take away the belt of the Toyota tournament in 130 lbs. Kongpipop had beaten previously Singdam Kiatmuu 9 in point and Attachai Fairtex by KO.

In 2009, Panpetch Chor Naa Phattalung takes away the Toyota tournament in 130 lbs by beating in final Krayjak Sitjomkrai (Thailand Champion). This year, the tournament was fierce with several great champions such as Domaipai Wor Sangprapai (Thailand Champion), Mahachok Kietpataraphan (Lumpinee champion), Sittichai Sitkhrugym (Thailand Champion, Lumpinee champion), F16 Rajanont (Thailand Champion, Lumpinee champion), Famongkol Kor Chaypiyom (Lumpinee champion) and Phetaksin Sor Tanpetch (World champion WMC)!

In 2010, Aikpracha Meenayothin gained the tournament in 154 lbs and Saenchai Sor Kingstar in 140 lbs. The star Saenchai gained the tournament by beating the Iranian Mazoud Izzadi, he won again this tournament in 2013 when he beat Uzbekistan Naimjon Tutaboef. Aikpracha gained the tournament in front of the Iranian Vahid Rossani and next year, in 2011, he beat in final Algerian Yassine Darkrim.

Nong O Kayanghadao gained the Toyota Marathon tournament in 130 lbs in 2011 against Traijak Sitjomtrai and in 140 lbs in October, 2014 against Petchboonchu FA Group who gained the Toyota Tournament the same year but in July, Petchboonchu had beaten in final Chamuaktong Sor Yupida.

Prakayseng Kayanghadao gained the tournament in 160 lbs in 2011 by beating Yodsanklai Fairtex.

Sittichai Sitsongpeenong won the Toyota tournament in 147 lbs in 2012 by beating the Cambodian Pich Seiha and in 154 lbs in 2013 by beating Dejrit Popteeratham. Her partner of training the star Kem Sitsongpeenong took away him the tournament in 154 lbs in 2012 by beating Sirimongkol Sitanupap.

In 2013, the phenomenal champion Somrak Kamsing is 40 years old gained the Toyota tournament in 147 lbs by beating the Australian Victor Ngabe!

Two great champions of the camp Petchyindee Academy, Sam-A Kayanghadao and Phetmorakot Wor Sangprapai gained the Toyota Marathon tournament in 2015. Sam-A beat Petsongkom Sitcharoentab in the category 126 lbs and Phetmorakot beat Petpanomrung Kiatmuu9 in the category 135 lbs.

The Thai Fight Tournament was created in 2010 by Mr. Nopporn Wartin who is the president of the Thailand Graphite Co. Ltd. The brand Isuzu is also sponsor of the organization Thai Fight. This tournament is considered all over the world today because many foreign fighters participate in it every year.

The winner of this tournament gains the enormous two million baht sum and a car Pick-up Isuzu!

The first champion who gained the trophy was French Fabio Pinca who beat the Belgian Youssef Boughanem in final of the Thai Fight tournament of – 67 kg in 2010.

In 2011, Fabio Pinca is again in final of the Thai Fight tournament against the Thai Kem Sitsongpeenong. But it’s the Thai which takes away the belt in – 67 kg of the Thai Fight tournament in 2011. So, in 2011, the tournament is also made in the category of – 70 kg. And it’s the star Buakaw Por Pramuk who gains the final in – 70 kg, by beating Australian Franck Giorgi.

The Thai icon Buakaw will be again a champion of the Thai Fight in 2012, in – 70 kg, by beating the Belarusian Vitaly Gurkov. There – 67 kg, it’s the robust Thai Singmanee Kaewsamrit which takes away the final tournament in front of Belarusian Andrei Kulebin. This year, the organizers of the Thai Fight add a new category, that of heavyweight. And it’s the French champion Patrice Quarteron who gains the tournament in heavyweight by beating the Ukrainian Dmytro Bezus.

In 2013, the Thai Fahmongkol Sor Jor Danrayong who has already gained the Isuzu tournament beats the Ukrainian Ruslan Kushnirenko in – 67 kg. In – 70 kg, it’s the terror of the boxing rings Yodsaenklai Fairtex wich takes away the belt of the Thai Fight by bringing down by KO French Expedito Valin. In 2013, special matches are added in the organization Thai Fight, they are fights without gloves called “Kard Chuek”. Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee takes away the Thai Fight in Kard Chuek in – 70 kg by beating Saiyok Pumpanmuang.

Yodseanklai Fairtex goes done it again in 2014 by beating by KO French Christophe Pruvost in final of the Thai Fight tournament in Kard Chuek in – 70 kg.

The great champion Saiyok Pumpanmuang gains the belt in – 72 kg in 2014. In final, he beats the young French phenomenon Antoine Pinto.

The exceptionally gifted Youssef Boughanem, who is the only foreigner to have gained a belt of the stadium of Omnoi, is going to take away final of the Thai Fight tournament in 2015 in – 72 kg. Boughanem is going to beat in points formidable Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee. And in – 70 Kg is the young warrior Tengnueng Sitjesairoong alias Super X who will win the Thai Fight beating by KO Brazilian Jose Neto!

TWO MAJOR TOURNAMENT WINNERS THAI FIGHT 2015 SUPER X IN – 70 KG AND YOUSSEF BOUGHANEM IN – 72 KG

The Max Muay Thai Tournament was created in 2013 by Mr Narit Wongprasertkan (Boss of the brand Top King), the belts of the Max Muay Thai were competed in Thailand and almost everywhere in the world. But today, the fights for the belt of the Max Muay Thai are made within his own stadium, the stadium Max Muay Thai who opened his doors in November, 2014, he’s situated to Pattaya on Sukhumvit road and the owner of the stadium is Mr. Nawat Tohjaroensuk.

The final belt of the Max Muay Thai gains by tournament eliminatory during the year. Four champions take away at first the belt Max Muay Thai color Silver, these champions are then in confrontation for the big final which indicates the winner of the belt Max Muay Thai color Golden. The winner in this big final pockets the million baht sum!

The fights to the Max Muay Thai are made in three rounds of three minutes. And there are only four weighty categories for the tournaments of the Max Muay Thai, the category of – 62 kg, the category of – 67 kg, the category of – 70 kg and the category of – 72 kg. Big champions such as Buakaw Banchamek, Aikpracha Meenayothin, Kem Sitsongpeenong and Sittichai Sitsongpeenong have already fought for the Max Muay Thai!

The champions who have already gained the famous belt Golden Max Muay Thai are Thai Chanachai Kaewsamrit in – 72 kg, Sakeddao Phetpayathai, Jomthong Chuwattana in – 67 kg and French Mohamed Souane in – 70 kg.

Chanachai gained his belt at the stadium Max Muay Thai of Pattaya in 2015 by beating Kanongsuk Chuwattana, Sakeddao gained his belt in 2013 to Khon Kaen in the northeast in front of Australian Victor Nagbe, Jomthong won his belt in 2014 in Bangkok against Jingreedtong Seatransferry and Mohamed Souane gained his belt in 2015 in the stadium Max Muay Thai of Pattaya by beating the Brazilian José Neto.

Other champions who gained the belt Max Muay Thai Silver are, in – 62 kg, Mathias Gallo Cassarino, in – 67 kg, Jingreedtong Seatransferry, Raphael Bohic, Victor Nagbe and Andre Kulebin, in – 70 kg, Charles François, in – 72 kg, Kanongsuk Chuwattana, Adaylton Freitas, Chanchai Sittisukato and Youssef Boughanem.

The Tournament Tiger Ciment in Thai ” Muayrop Poun Seua ” (Muayrop: Tournament, Poun: Cement, Seua: Tiger) was created in 2001. He’s sponsored by the company of construction product SCG cement whose head office is in Bangkok in the district of Bangsue. SCG cement is the second most large company of Thailand!

Today, this tournament in the world of Muay Thai in Thailand became so famous as the tournaments Isuzu and Toyota.

This tournament also takes place once a year. The Tournament Tiger Cement takes place in the mythical enclosure of the stadium TV7 and the big winner of this tournament gains the beautiful 500 00-baht sum!

The famous promoter Mr. Phirapong Theradeatpong more known under the name of Chun Kietpetch is associated everything the years with this event. Because the stadium TV7 belongs to him half, the other half is in the army.

But the big final of it prestigious tournament sometimes takes place in an immense stadium within the reach of the event, a stadium fitted out in Bangkok or somewhere else in the country which can welcome many people.

The first belt “Tiger Cement” was taken away in 2001 by Denisalam Wanmaninoi (Sidja Kietbanchong) of the famous camp of Bangkok Kietbanchong Gym.

In 2002, it’s Kanchay Kor Bangkrouay who gains final of the Tournament Tiger Cement. For year 2003, Namsuk Petchsuphapan wins the belt of the Tournament Tiger Cement in 118 lbs.

In 2004, it’s the great champion Paowarit Setinyunyong (World champion IKF, WPMF) of the camp Sasiprapa Gym which pockets the trophy.

Thongchai Kiatprapat wins the tournament in 2005 and Serthi Erawan, just has all 20-year-old, takes away the sixth tournament Tiger Cement in 2006, he will win then in 2008 the belt TV7 in 118 lbs.

In 2007, the big final of the tournament takes place in the stadium TV7 with still a champion of the camp Sasiprapa, Nongaan Sitmolambat who faces Thaweesaklek Ploisakdaa, Nongaan beats in points Thaweesaklek and win the belt.

The champion Thongsuk Singpatong of the famous camp of Phuket, the Singpatong gym, takes away the belt of the Tournament Tiger Cement in 2008.

The tournament 2009 is gained by Yokpetch Phetkasem and Kwaymeuang Petchmeungtrat wins the belt of the tenth Tournament Tiger Cement in 2010.

The young boy Kongkiat Thor Pran 49 (World champion WPMF), in 19 years, gains the Tournament Tiger Cement of year 2011.

Semapetch Sor Chaowalit who comes from a quite small camp to the North of the Thailand, near Chiangrai, and who fights for the camp Sor Sopit managed of the exploit to walk off with the belt of the tournament Tiger Cement in 2012.

In 2013, in the stadium ” Bangkok Thai Youth Center “, completely full, the young boy Rungphet Petchcharoen (19 years), beats by KO Singphonchay Sor Sarunia (18 years) and becomes the 13th champion of the Tournament Tiger Cement.

Finale of the 14th Tournament Tiger Cement, in 2014, is organized in the new stadium of Lumpinee. On October 5th, 5000 people are going to attend the meeting between Sakoonchaylek Dabpangnakhonban (TV7 Champion in 105 lbs) and Kaokarat Jitmuangnon, these two young champions belong to camps which are the most considered by the country, the Petsiri Gym for Sakoonchaylek who has 17 years and Jitmuangnon Gym for Kaokarat who is 19 years old. The big winner is the boy wonder Sakoonchaylek who wins by points in front of Kaokarat.

15th tournament, in 2015, was taken away by Wanmeechok Phuhongthong who beat Yodpetch Bankongprab in final in the stadium TV7.
