Serge TREFEU: Hello, how are you?

SONKOM JOCKYGYM: Very well, in full form

How old are you?

I am 30 years old

You come from which area of Thailand?

From Isaan (Northern Thailand), I come from a village which is very close to the city Udon Thani

Are you from an large family?

Yes, I have three big brothers, a little brother and a big sister

Did your brothers make boxing?

Not, I am the only one to practise Muay Thai

Were you brawler when you were child?

A little yes

You began the Muay Thai at which age?

At 9 years

How did you discover the boxing?

I liked to look at the fight of Khaosai Galaxy (the “Tyson of Thailand” World champion WBA of 1984 to 1991, 50 fights, 49 wins, 1 lose, 43 K.O!) on TV. It is this great champion who gave me desire for making boxing…

Did your first fight have you make at which age?

Around 9 years

You began the Muay Thai in which camp?

With the camp Soopouikap in Udon Thani

You have many fights for this camp?

Approximately about fifty fights…

You came to which age to Bangkok for fighting and in which gym?

I came to Bangkok towards age 16 years and I went directly in Jocky Gym

Does that make a long time that you are in Jocky Gym?

That made more than 14 years that I am here…

You live here in the camp?

At the beginning yes, I slept in the camp with the other boxers. Now, I rent an apartment close to gym

Does today you fight in which category of weight?

In 135 lbs (61 kg)

Did you gain belt the stadiums of Bangkok?

Yes, I gained twice the belt of the stadium Radjadamnoen in 135 lbs (61 kg)

In which year?

The first belt in 1998 against Apiwat and the second belt in 2002 against Lopakaw

How much do you have fights?

I have made nearly 150 fights. Surroundings 87 wins and 60 losses

You gained how much fights by K.O.?

26 fights gained by K.O

You have which style of boxing?

I am a fimeu (technician)

Your hardest fight was against which?

Against Lopakaw for the belt of Radja a fight very, very hard…

Your best memory of fighter?

My victory against Apiwat for my first belt of Radja, a beautiful memory!

You already fought with foreign?

Yes, three times at Japan, I gained once against a Japanese champion and I fought once in Scotland also or I lost against the champion of over there…

You would like to go to fight in France?

Yes I would like much

Do you know French fighters?

Yes, I know some several but those which I know best it is Skarbowsky, Dany Bill and Stephan Nikiema

For you who is best foreigner fighter?

I think is Jean-Charles Skarbowsky, he is very strong

Does today you gain good prize money, screw you well thanks to boxing?

Yes, I bought a large house for my family with Udon Thani

For you which is the best fighter today?

There are two of them which is really above. Leudsila Chompaetour and Seanchai Sor Kingstar, which is by far best currently…

You have a technique preferred in Muay Thai?

I like the tip (face kick) and the tei lam toa (middle)

When is your next fight?

On March 29 with stadium of Surin in the south of country

After stop the boxing you think of doing what like job?

I would like to assemble small a company towards at home in Udon Thani or can be to become soldier…
