THE KIATCHONGKHAO CAMP

This camp exists since about fifteen year and is situated in the village of Chong Khao which is 10 km of the city of Thung Song in Nakhon Si Tammarat’s region, the South of the Thailand. Nakhon Si Tammarat’s region always produced great fighters as Anuwat Keawsamrit (Best fighter of year 2003 and 2004), Hyppy Singmanee, Samlyam Singmanee, Jaroensap Kietbanchong (Best fighter of year 1992), Jaroenthong Kietbanchong, Samranthon Kietbanchong, Wanpadet Sakrumay, Nong Bee Kiatyongyut, Nopparat Kietkamthorn, Olé Kiatwanwei…
The owner of the place, Mr Soopon Korsawat, a former military officer, named his Kiatchongkhao camp in reference to a small mountain which is near the camp.

His camp is built on the ground of his house, along a way which to take to the famous mountain. The camp is surrounded with a luxuriant vegetation which refreshes the place, its infrastructure just includes a boxing ring and four punch bags as well as of the thai material of body-building…

Within camp he not today that a trainer and five boxers, Pompurn, Samsamut, Teelek, and two young fighters, Samsamut and Teelek are the own sons of Soopon Korsawat!

Pompurn Kiatchongkhao is a robust boxer, a puncheur, which beat by KO of the big fighters as Faipaa Sor Narongrit, Orono Sor Danchai, Kaewklaa Kaewsamrit and the young star Lamnamoon Sakchaichote (Radja Champion), he also defeated, in 2011, the great technician Palungpol Piriyanoppachai (Lumpinee Champion in 105 lbs, Radja Champion in 105 lbs and 108 lbs), to win him by points in a magnificent fight in the stadium of Lumpinee!
In 2011, in the stadium of Radja, Pompurn took away champion’s belt of Thailand in 112 lbs against formidable Fonluang Sitboonmee!

Samsamut Kiatchongkhao is a very strong fighter with the knees who possesses an excellent technique of clinch, he beat champions such as Sakadpetch Ingram gym, Winailek Por Rangsan, Chook Eminent Air, Jaroenchai Keza Gym and Petchasawin Seatransferry!
Samsamut gained the belt of Thailand in 135 lbs against Petchasawin in 2009 and the belt of Radja in 135 lbs against Winailek in 2010!
How he often fought in the big stadiums of capital, Samsamut left training in various important camps of Bangkok, to the camp Lukbanyai, to the camp Chuwattana and he stayed for a long time in the camp Kiatphontip, the camp of the famous journalist Rob Cox!

Samsamut also fought abroad, in England, where he lost in points against the champion Liam Harrison, and in France where he beat in points rough Houcine Benoui!

SAMSAMUT IN PUNCH BAG !

Teelek Kiatchongkao is the younger brother of Samsamut, Teelek is deaf-mute, but it does not prevent him from being a formidable fighter on the boxing ring, he has already made 100 fights with only ten defeats, gained champion’s belt of the South of the Thailand and fought of numerous time in the stadiums of Lumpinee and Radja!

The boxers of the Kiatchongkhai often fight in the stadium of Radjadamnern because the promoter of the camp is Mr Chujaroen Raveearamwong (Chuwattana Gym) one of the most important promoters of the Radja!
The camp has no room for the boxers, they thus return all at their home after the training. In Kiatchongkhao nakmuays makes a lot of jogging, in the morning they run 12 km and after noon their route is 16 km!

The session of clinch is of 30 minutes the morning and till one hour for that of him after noon. The boxers in preparation of fight make to the everyday a half an hour of skipping, five rounds in paos, five rounds in punch bag and end again with half an hour of skipping…

Only one foreigner came to train for Kiatchongkhao, a French fighter stayed one month in this camp. But it is really necessary to want to get on in life for come to lost in the depths of the Thai jungle, at the heart of Nakhon Si Thammarat’s region…
