The categories of 135 lbs and 140 lbs are currently categories where evolve great Thai champions who have often met several times. Great stars of the rings fight in these very high categories such as Superlek, Tanonchai, Phanpayak, Rodtang, Yodlekphet, Sangmanee, Seksan, Tawanchai, Kulapdam, Muangthai.

French Yod (Super Champion) Rafi Singpatong (Lumpinee Champion, WMC World Champion, WBC World Champion) although he is normally in the 147 lbs category (Rafi is the current Lumpinee Champion in 147 lbs), has recently challenged champions in this category, he made fights in 140 lbs against champions like Inseetong Por Pinnapath (Victory), Attachai Thor Morsee (Victory), Kongsak PK Saenchai Gym (Victory), Chujaroen Dabransarakarm (Defeat), Manachai Yokhaosanchai Gym (Victory), Chamuakthong Fighter Muay Thai (Victory), Yodpanomrung Jitmuangnon (Victory), Sangmanee Sor Tienpho (Defeat), Yodlekphet Or Pitisak (Defeat).

RAFI SINGPATONG

Malaysian champion Amir Nasri (WMC World Champion, A1 World Champion) fighting for the Tiger Muay Thai Gym in Phuket also won in the 140 lbs category. On July 27, 2019, he became the second foreigner in the world to win the Omnoi stadium belt (The first is Youssef Boughanem, Omnoi champion in 160 lbs in 2015). Amir Nasri defeated Petchmahachon Jitmuangnon for the title of Omnoi champion in 140 lbs!

AMIR TIGER MUAYTHAI GYM

The Jitmuangnon Gym, a true champion factory, provides the biggest Yod in these categories with Phanpayak, Rodtang, Nuenglanlek and Yodpanomrung. Then, the famous Teeded 99 Gym is also well represented with Superball, Phetmorakot and Yodlekphet as well as P.K. Saenchai Gym with Kawna, Tawanchai and Muangthai. The big camps of Bangkok are also full of talented champions in several categories including 135 lbs and 140 lbs such as Sor Sommai Gym with Phet-Utong and Seksan, Petchyindee Academy Gym with Mongkolpetch, Kietpetch Gym with Sittisak, 13 Coins Gym with Sangmanee or Sit Chef Boontham Gym with Phanpayak. The famous provincial camp Kiatmuu9 is mainly the star Superlek in the category 135 lbs and in 140 lbs the great champions Phetpanomrung and Singdam. But Phetpanomrung and Singdam are no longer fighting in the big stadiums of Bangkok, they only fight abroad now.

Particular Sign: Superlek is the nephew of star Singdam Kiatmuu 9 and champion Suadam Kiatmuu 9. This young prodigy was already champion of Thailand at only 16 years old and at just 17 years old he became champion of Lumpinee. Superlek was elected “Best Boxer of the Year 2012” by the Sports Authority of Thailand. In 2014, Superlek beat two great champions by KO. On September 10, at the Radja stadium, he struck down in the first round with a superb High Kick, the bull Pornsanae Sitmonchai. One month later, on 9 October, at the stadium of the Radja, he put KO in the third round, Khaimukkhao Por Thairungruangkamai. Superlek also beat twice by KO the fearsome Bangpleenoi 96 Peenang, in 2015 and 2016. Superlek fights in 130 lbs in stadiums in Bangkok and in 135 lbs in the organization One Championship

Particular Sign: Formed by the legend Sangtiennoi, he fought then for the other legend of the rings Samart Payakaroon. Today he fights for Camp V. Win Gym in Koh Samui. Thanonchai is nicknamed by the fans of Muay Thai, «Rambo 2» in reference to the great champion of the 80s «Pongsiri Rambo Por Ruamruedee», one of the biggest durable boxer in the history of Muay Thai. Thanonchai also has on his shorts the famous «Skull of Death» worn by Rambo Pongsiri. Thanonchai’s terrible clashes in 2014 and 2015 against Seksan and Sangmanee can be ranked among the hardest fights of the year. In 2015, Thanonchai was voted “Best Boxer of the Year” by Siam Kilaa magazine. Phet Utong is one of the few fighters to have beaten by KO stars Superlek Kiatmuu9 and Phanpayak Jitmuangnon. Phet Utong also beat the phenomenal Superbank by points. In 2016, Phet Utong received the “Best Fighter of the Year” award from The Sports Writers Association of Thailand

Nicknamed Khun Khao Nong Bua (The Kneeling of Nong Bua), he was Thailand champion in 122 lbs, a belt he won on April 11, 2014 against Choknumchai Sitjakong by beating him by KO in the second round. Superball fought several years for the great Petchyindee Academy Gym. Today, he trains at Teeded 99 Gym which is located in Bangkok at the top of a building. This camp has had great champions like Superbank Sakchaichot and Phetmorakot Teeded 99. Superball is currently among the best in the category of 135 lbs

On December 21, 2018, in southern Thailand in Hatyai, he won the famous Toyota Marathon tournament in 140 lbs by defeating Petchsongphat Sitjareonsap. In 2017, Mongkolpetch won the TV7 Best Fight Trophy at the TV7 stadium for his victorious match against Nawapon Lukprakrit

Particular Sign: Kawna was trained early at the Muay Thai at the age of 5 in the Thor Kanya camp where his father was the head coach, a camp that was in the southern region of Thung Song. Kawna’s name was Nongbeer Chokngamwong and he fought then for 10 years for the Petchsupapan Gym, a camp in the Petchaburi region located 80 km south of Bangkok. It’s was under the colours of Petchsupapan Gym that he won his 108 lbs Lumpinee belt at the age of 17. In 2017, he joined P.K. Saenchai Gym in Bangkok. On 26 February 2018, he beat the star Superbank Sakchaichote for the Phoenix World Champion title in 130 lbs. Kawna and Superbank faced off five times with 2 wins each and one draw. Kawna also beat the terrible Seksan Sor Sommai 3 times

This longiligne and technical boxer is a young prodigy who won his first Radja belt in 105 lbs at the age of 16 by beating Phet Or Phimonsri. At only 23 years of age, he already totals 286 fights for 243 victories, 40 defeats, and 3 draws to his credit. The young Phanpayak received in March 2016 for the third time in a row the prestigious trophy of “Best boxer of the year” which is given by the famous institution The Sport Writers Association of Thailand. He won this famous trophy in 2013, 2014 and 2015. Phanpayak is entering the pantheon of champions by being the first to win this trophy three times in a row, he received a special cup for this performance

Particular Sign: Rodtang comes from a very poor family whose parents worked in the latex harvest, he’s the 8th child of a family of 10 brothers and sisters. Rodtang was trained at the Kietchoochom Gym in Paphayom in the southern region of Phattalung. At the age of 13, he joined the famous Jitmuangnon Gym in Bangkok, his first birthday cake was offered by the owners of the Jitmuangnon Gym, for lack of financial means, Rodtang’s parents were never able to buy him a cake or a birthday present. His fighting name Rodtang (Battle Tank) was given to him by his first coach who loved the Radja champion, Peunkon (Machine Gun) Thor Surat who is also from the Phattalung region. And Rodtang carried his fighting name well because he became a powerful Muay Mat (Strong in fist) who advances over his opponents like a tank, taking the hits. Rodtang is nicknamed by Muay Thai fans «The Iron Man». Today, Rodtang has become very rich thanks to his big purse which he receives in particular in the famous One Championship organization. On August 2, 2019, he won the One Championship World Champion Belt by defeating English Jonathan Haggerty, a belt he victoriously defended two months later against Brazilian Walter Goncalves

Particular Sign: Nuenglanlek is the eldest of a family of three brothers and sisters. He was trained at Muay Thai at the age of 6 by his father, a former great boxer named Neungpeuncent Sor Rungniwet. Nuenglanlek fought under the name of Pornpitak Sit Phorjor, he fought for several boxing camps such as the Sor Rathanakhun, the Sittikanchai and the Sor Sommai Gym before joining the Jitmuangnon Gym at the age of 18 where he is now. Nicknamed Khun Hua Khao Phalang Maa (The knee with horse power), it is a formidable Muay Khao (Strong in knees). On August 5, 2016, he won the Lumpinee belt in 130 lbs against TV7 champion Jamsak Sakburiram. Nuenglanlek is one of the few fighters to have twice beaten by KO stars Kulapdam Sor Jor Piak Uthai and Muangthai P.K. Saenchai Gym
