YODWICHA POR BOONSIT: I’m doing great, thank you

How old are you?

I’m 19 years old, my fighter’s name is Yodwicha Por Boonsit and my born name is Komsan Tantakop

You come of what region of the Thailand?

I was born to Pak Thong Chai, a city near Nakhon Ratchasima in the northeast of the Thailand

You have brothers and sisters?

I have a brother

Your brother is a boxer too?

Yes he’s very good, his fighter’s name is Nantawat Chor Rungrot

THE BROTHERS TANTAKOP ARE VERY CLOSE, AS WELL IN THE LIFE AS IN THE BOXING

You began the boxing at which age?

I began the boxing at the age of 9

How you discovered the boxing?

Before, my father was a boxer, he was always in the world of the boxing, he transmitted us his passion to me and my brother

At what age you have make your first fight?

I have make my first fight in 9 years in a village festival near my home

You gained your fight?

No I lost in points but I gained the sum of 500 baht, what was enormous for me (Laughter)!

In what camp you began your training?

I began my formation in a small camp to Korat (Nakhon Ratchasima)

There were many fighters in this camp?

Yes many boxers trained in this camp but it was especially children…

You made a lot of fight for this camp?

Yes I have make 100 fights for this camp!

To what age you came to Bangkok?

In 15 years I went to the camp Saengmorakot Gym

You stayed how long in Saengmorakot?

I stayed 3 years in Saengmorakot

And today you are in which camp?

I’m now since one year in Kem Muay Thai Gym to Pak Chong, it’s in the region where I increased. I fights today under the name of Yodwicha Kemmuaythai Gym

You train with which champions in Kem Muay Thai Gym?

With Kem (Kem Sitsongpeenong, Radja Champion, Thailand champion, World champion WMC, WBC, MTA, Winner of the tournaments Thai Fight, Isuzu and Toyota), Bernueng (Radja Champion, World champion WMC and WPMF) and Apisit (World champion WPMF)

In what category you fight?

I fights in 140 lbs (-63 kg) in Thailand but I can fight abroad in 147 lbs (67 kg) even in 69 kg…

You gained belts of the big stadiums?

I won four belts. My first belt was the belt of the stadium of Omnoi in 126 lbs which I took away against Phetawee Sor Kittichai in 2012, then I gained the belt of Lumpinee in 130 lbs against Kongsak Sitboonmee in 2012. Then, in 2013, the belt of Thailand in 135 lbs against Phetboonchu FA Group and in 2014, the belt of Thailand in 140 lbs against Chamuaktong Sor Yupida!

I have make 202 fights for 148 victories, 51 defeats and 3 draws

You have which style of boxing?

I’m a « Muay bouk » (Boxer who moves forward on his opponent), I also like the clinch and the pokes

What is your technique preferred in fight?

The pokes

What was your hardest fight until today?

One of my first fights in Lumpinee was very hard, I ended at the hospital after the fight. Otherwise my fights against Seksun and Pakorn was rather difficult…

Your best memory of boxing?

It’s to have beaten Saenchai because it’s a great champion, the best!

Only one time it was in 2013 in Lumpinee

Against Petchboonchu, we were seven times in confrontation, I won four times, he beat me twice and we made a draw

Yes once in France (City Saint-Tropez)

It’s the second time which you come to fight in France and the first time in Paris for the Best Of Siam 7?

Yes it’s the first time when I come to Paris, I’m happy to see Paris because I wanted to discover this city for a long time!

You know French fighters?

I don’t know too much the foreign fighters…

What is the best Thai fighter today according to you?

I think that it’s still Saenchai!

For what promoter you fights?

Mister Phirapong Theradeatpong (Chun Kietpetch)

What is your purse at present in Thailand?

I touch purses of more than 100 000 bahts today!

You were able to buy already a house for your family?

Yes I bought a house in my born region, I bought a car also, I already had a motorcycle

What that think you to make after the boxing?

My objective it’s to have my camp of boxing, I think that I would make him build in my native region

You want to add some thing?

I’m very satisfied to come to fight in France because French know well Muay Thai, I hope to make a beautiful fight tomorrow in front of public French!

Yodwicha gained his fight in the Best Of Siam 7 in front of the best French champion Bobo Sacko. On August 4th, 2015, Yodwicha had beaten the young boy Jimmy Viennot in the event of Fight Night in Saint-Tropez.

At the age of 16, he’s already a champion of Omnoi in 126 lbs against Phetawee Sor Kittichai (Thailand Champion) and Lumpinee Champion in 130 lbs, a title when he gained in November 9th, 2012 in front of formidable Kongsak Sitboonmee (Double Lumpinee champion, Thailand Champion, World champion WMC, Best fighter of the year in 2010).

In 2013, Yodwicha left his title of Lumpinee in 130 lbs to rise of category in 135 lbs, in July, 2013, he gained champion’s belt of Thailand in 135 lbs against the star Petboonchu FA Group. And on January 7th, 2014, he won the belt of Thailand in 140 lbs against Chamuaktong Sor Yupinda!

In 2012, Yodwicha beat at Lumpini, the star Nong O Kayanghaadao (3 times Lumpinee champion, twice Thailand champion, Best fighter of the year in 2005), the champion Petawee Sor Kitichai (Thailand Champion, S1 Champion ) and a draw against the formidable Pakorn Sakyotin (Radja champion, Lumpinee champion)!

In 2013, Yodwicha remained unbeaten, this young boy has beaten all the stars of the moment. In January he beat Petboonchu FA Group in Lumpinee, in February, in Radja, Singdam Kiatmuu 9, in April at Lumpini still Petboonchu FA Group (For the belt of Thailand in 135 lbs) in May, in Lumpinee, he beat magician rings Saenchai PK Saenchaimuaythaigym, in July, in Lumpinee, Wanchalerm Aooddonmuang and August in Radja again Singdam Kiatmuu9 (Lumpinee champion, Thailand champion, Best fighter of the year in 2002)!

The year 2014 was a little worse for Yodwicha…

In January, in Lumpinee, he beat Chamuaktong Sor Yupinda for the belt of Thailand in 140 lbs, in February, in Lumpinee, he met Phetboonchu Borplaboonchu (FA Group) and lost his belt of Thailand in 140 lbs. But in May, to the stadium of Radja in main event, he made a draw against Phetboonchu. The two stars are found in June at Radja, for the Radja belt in 140 lbs and Phetboonchu beating again Yodvicha by points. But in September, in Radja, Yodwicha takes his revenge by beating Phetboonchu by points. In October, in Radja, they clash for the seventh time and Yodwicha beat Phetboonchu on points. And in December, in Radja in main event, Yodwicha beat Sensatan Sor Suradej (Lumpinee Champion, Thailand Champion)!
