The gym Sor Jor Piak Uthai is located in the province of Uthai Thani in the heart of central Thailand. It’s the largest boxing camp in the region, it’s located in the village of Ban Bueng Thap Tae near the town of Lum Khao.
This camp has existed for about ten years, it belongs to the Chief of Police of Uthai Thani, Mr. Paphavich Buasawadee better known as Piak Pao. The gym is next to the sumptuous home of Mr. Paphavich Buasawadee, a very influential man in the Uthai Thani area. Mr. Paphavich Buasawade is a true boxer lover. His other passion is protective amulets. It has one of the most important collections of amulets in the Central region.
Mr. Paphavich Buasawadee is also a generous man as he participates in an important program with the authorities of the Uthai Thani region called “The sport against drugs”. Many teenagers receive free lessons from Muay Thai in Sor Jor Piak Uthai gym to keep them away from the bad temptations of the street. Addiction is wreaking havoc in the Uthai Thani area.

Mr. Somporn Kaewkanha is the head coach of the gym and the manager of Sor Jor Piak Uthai Gym. He trained star Kulapdam and several other fighters.

The pearl of Sor Jor Piak Uthai Gym is the phenomenal Kulapdam Sor Jor Piak Uthai.
Kulapdam (Black Rose) of his real name Somboon Misitidee was born on September 24, 1998 in the village of Lekthi in the province of Surin (Northeast Region). His fighter nickname is « Khio Morakot » (The green emerald). His parents are farmers, they work in rice fields. The Misitidee family has five children, the oldest of whom is Kulapdam.
This boxer from a very poor family has become rich today, Kulapdam is currently one of the champions who receive the biggest purses on the circuit of Thai professional boxers. His purse is 300,000 baht.

Young Kulapdam’s idols when he started boxing were puncher Samransak Muangsurin and ring magician Saenchai Sor Kingstar. His dream at 8 was to become Muay Thai World Champion. At the age of 20, he has already realized his dream by becoming twice champion of the mythical Lumpinee stadium and champion of Thailand.
On 8 September 2017, at the Lumpinee stadium, Kulapdam defeated by KO in the third round Petchkantat M.U. Den (Thailand Champion 2018) and won the Thailand Champion’s Belt in 135 lbs. He defended his Thailand Belt in 135 lbs against the fearsome Muangthai PK Saenchaigym. On 5 June 2018, Kulapdam and Muangthai had a draw, Kulapdam kept his Thailand belt, which he still holds.
On February 18, 2018, in Japan, at Korakuen Hall, Kulapdam won the Lumpinee stadium belt in 135 lbs. He beat by KO Japanese champion Genji Umeno who was Radja champion in 2016.

On March 19, 2019, at the Lumpinee Stadium, Kulapdam defeated Ferrari Jakkayanmuaythai (TV7 Champion in 135 lbs) and won the Lumpinee belt in 140 lbs. A belt he still holds today.

This superb lefty is a very strong boxer with his lightning series in fists and his explosive left leg, Kulapdam has already defeated champions such as Suntos Setsakda (KO), Phet Thor Thepsuthin (KO), Kongkrai Chor Thaiseth (KO), Aikphipop Mor Krungthepthonburi (KO), Chamuakphet Sor Takudtong (KO), Diesellek M.U. Den (KO), Pinphet Sitjedaeng (KO), Petchkantat M.U. Den (KO), Nuanglanlek Jitmuangnont, Muangthai P.K. Saenchaimuaythaigym (KO), Ferrari Jakkayanmuaythai!
His performance in 2018 was to have beaten by KO the terrible Muangthai P.K. Saenchaimuaythaigym (Lumpinee Champion, TV7 Champion) and to have won the Lumpinee belt in 135 lbs against the Japanese Genji Umeno (Radja Champion). And in 2019, winning the Lumpinee belt in 140 lbs against Ferrari Jakkayanmuaythai and beating the solid Nuenglanlek Jitmuangnont who is the current Omnoi stadium champion in 135 lbs.
His pet peeve in 2018 was the young prodigy Tawanchai PK Saenchaigym (Best Boxer of the Year 2018 Siamkilaa Trophy, Thailand Champion) whom he met three times in 2018 and who beat him three times in points. The last confrontation between these two stars of the current rings was on November 9, 2018 at the Lumpinee stadium, an event match with a 6 million baht dumpan won by the PK Saenchaigym team. On October 5, Tawanchai won the Kila Sport Muay Thai belt in 140 lbs, beating Kulapdam in points at Buriram. And on September 7, at the Lumpinee Stadium, Tawanchai defeated Kulapdam by points.
Kulapdam was named “Best Boxer of the Year” in 2017 by the prestigious Sport Writers Association.

Kulapdam received this precious trophy thanks in particular to his good results at the stadium TV7. In 2017, at the TV7 stadium, he won two wins by KO, one win by points and one draw. And won the belt of Thailand in the stadium of Lumpinee against Petchkantat M.U. Den (Victory by KO).
In 2016, he received the special award “Martial Art of stadium TV7”. This year, in this famous stadium, he had won four wins by KO, one win by points and once lost to points.

The Sor Jor Piak Uthai gym also has good fighters like Phetmorakot Sor Jor Piak Uthai, Supapnoi Sor Jor Piak Uthai, Chaïchana Sor Jor Piak Uthai, Sriuthai Sor Jor Piak Uthai.
Phetmorakot (Also called Taï) comes from Surin, he’s 18 years old. He’s the little brother of the star of gym Kulapdam. Phetmorakot is a solid Muay Mat (Fort in Fist) who is currently one of the biggest punchers in the 130 lbs category. He beat by KO Phetchuchai Dabransarakham, Art Sitpabieow, Namkabuan Lukmuu 4, Chinarat Kietfeungfou, Natthaphon Por Jirakit, Chalermphon Sitkhruthai, Yodakom Sor Sarinya, Kompayak Petchrambo!
PHETMORAKOT SOR JOR PIAK UTHAI
Supapnoi is 22 years old, he’s a Fimeuu lefthander (Technical) who often fights in TV7 stadium. In the category of 126 lbs, he has already beaten Jaising Kelasport (KO), Phetphannat Hor Jor Kor Sanguanchai, Sen Amnatmuaythai (KO), Singsayam Famuangamlampun, Prabseuk Thor Pandeang, Yodekean Lookprabat.
The Chaïchana bull is a 20-year-old fighter who is a tough boxer to evil. He fights in the 120 lbs category and mainly in the MX Muay Thai Xtrem and Muay Thai Super Champ organizations.
Sriuthai is 22 years old and is now fighting in the 120 lbs category. In 2015, at Nonthaburi stadium, he won the Or Tor Kor 3 tournament in 118 lbs. Sriuthai beat boxers such as Riewpai Aor Sanitpan, Kaiyasit Kiatjaroenchai (KO), Chookdee Nukafeburan, Notmai Or Nitayapon, Phetphuchang KilaSport, Khunsuknoi Sitkaewprapol.
There are also the fighters Rittichai Sor Jor Piak Uthai, Saeng-Uthai Sor Jor Piak Uthai and Por U-thai Sor Jor Piak Uthai who completes this team of fighters of great qualities.
