Serge TREFEU: Hello, first of all thank you for grant me this interview, how are you, in shape?

DIESELNOI CHOR THANASUKARN: Yes, thank you

How old are you?

I am 51 years old

You come of what region of the Thailand?

I am of Nakhon Luang in the province of Ayutthaya (Centre region of the Thailand)

What is what you are to marry, you have children?

I was married, today I am divorced and I have five children, my children live all in Bangkok except the biggest which lives in Japan

You have brothers and sisters?

We are three children in the family, I am the last one of the family

You have brothers who practiced boxing too?

No I am the only fighter of the family

You began the boxing at which age?

In 13 years

Teenager you were rather a fighter or at all?

Yes I liked to fight, often at the school….

How you discovered the boxing?

My older brother and my father liked boxing a lot, it is them who gave me the envy to make of the boxing…

Your first fight you made him for which age?

In 13 years, I won and I gained only 50 bahts…

It is not a lot?

Not (laughter)

You began Muay Thai in a camp?

Yes I fought the first time for the camp Sor Banjongsak who was in the province of Trat

You came to Bangkok towards which age?

At about 16 years I went at first to the camp Sor Worakulchai in the province of Chonburi, then I went to the camp Chor Thanasukarn and Sor Thanikul I ended in the camp Haa Phalang in Bangkok…

In what category you fought?

My first fight I have him make for 37 kg then when I fought in Bangkok it was in 100 lbs (45 kg) in the stadium of Radja, then I fought in 126 lbs (57 kg) and in 135 lbs (61 kg)

What are the titles that you gained?

I gained two belts, one belts of Lumpinee and an International belt. My belt of Lumpinee in 135 lbs, I gained him against Kaopong Sittichoochai and my International belt I gained him against Shinobu Onuki, Japanese it was in Radja…

How much have you make of fights, how much have you of victory and defeat?

68 fights. 56 Wins. 11 losses. 1 draw

You gained many fights by KO?

Yes a lot about 40 wins by KO

You had which style of boxing?

I was Muay Khao (Strong in knees)

What technique you loved most in fight?

The knocks of knees, it was my speciality, as I was big for my weight I could easily the placed in fight…

What was your hardest fight in your career?

Against Vicharnoi Porntawee, one it is three times met, twice in Radja and once in Lumpinee, I once won against him and he beat me twice, it was a very great fighter, very hardly!

Your best memory of boxing until today?

They are my victories against the great champions as Vicharnoi Porntawee, Pohsai Sittiboonlert, Kaopong Sittichoochai, Sakad Petyindee, Samart Payakaroon, Padejsuek Pisanurachan, Nongkhai Sor Prapassorn…

What are the known fighters whom you have to face?

Vicharnoi Porntawee, Pohsai Sittiboonlert, Kaopong Sittichoochai, Samart Payakaroon, Padejsuek Pisanurachan, Nongkhai Sor Prapassorn, Narongnoi Kiatbandhit, Kaosod Sitpraprom, Noi Sakornpitak, Pravit Sridhani, Sakad Petyindee, Krongsak Prakong Boranrat, Raktear Muangsurin…

Who was your promoter?

M. Thavornchai a promoter of the Radja

You fought abroad?

I once fought in the United States and I won by KO, I do not remember any more the name of the fighter, it was an American (John Moncayo) and once in Japan, I won against the Japanese champion Koshikawa (Show fight)

You know French fighters?

I know well Guillaume Kerner, I give him hello moreover by means of this interview

For you who are the best foreign fighters in Muay Thay?

I think that France and Japan are countries the strongest in Thai Boxing after the Thailand but in the time the strongest foreign fighter whom I saw in Thailand it is the Dutch Ramon Dekkers, he was very strong!

For you who is the best fighter at present in Thailand?

Today for me there is no so strong fighter as before, it is not any more the same thing, it changed since a few years without doubts because of the promoters, it is not the same any more, I do not see today fighting very, very hardly as there was a few years ago…

How much you touched as purse in the time?

I gained very good purses, one of my biggest purse was for my fight against Samart Payakaroon who was 400 000 bahts!

After your career what do you, you became a trainer?

Yes I trained little abroad and in Thailand

Is what that is really that after your career you became a monk for a while?

Yes I was a monk for a moment, and it is a very beautiful experience in my man’s life…

What are your projects for 2012?

I plan to open soon a camp in Bangkok, where I would train with the others champion as Pud Pad Noi, the camp will be opened I think before three or four months…

How will be called the camp?

I do not still know, maybe the camp ” Diesel Noi ” (Laughter)

The foreigners can come to train in your camp?

Yes of course, they are welcome, European, Australian, Japanese, the Americans, everybody is welcome!

What will be price for the foreigners?

I cannot say to you still, but when the camp will be opened, there will be information on prices, accommodation, on the Internet, I think…

DIESELNOI AND SERGE TREFEU

Dieselnoi with Samart Payakaroon, is certainly one of the boxers who the most marked the story of Muay Thai in Thailand. This exceptional fighter, measuring near a meter ninety, for a 62 kg weight, destroyed all his opponents thanks to his fabulous technical of knocks of knees. He was nicknamed “The Sky Piercing Knee Kicker”. In 1981 he gains Lumpinee champion’s belt in 135 lbs against Kaopong Sittichoochai. The biggest such as Vicharnoi Porntawee, Pohsai Sittiboonlert, Kaopong Sittichoochai, Sakad Petyindee, Samart Payakaroon, Padejsuek Pisanurachan, Nonekai Sor Prapassorn, Krongsak Prakong Boranrat, Raktear Muangsurin all lost against the King of the knocks of knees. Dieselnoi will stay for ever among the biggest legends of the story of Muay Thai !
