In the world of Muay Thai in Thailand everyone knows the exceptional reputation of the fighters of Kiatmoo 9 Gym (9 in Thai = Kao). This small country gym has become one of the best gyms in the country. It was created by Mr. Sutjai Pumprakhon who succeeded a bold step to turn young provincial boxers into stars of the rings. The camp is located in village N°9 of the Takothapi district to 30 km from the large city of Buriram in the northeast region.
Open for 20 years, the Kiatmookao Gym was twice elected “Best Gym of the Year” in 2002 and 2013 by the prestigious institution of the “Thai Sports Authority”!

This famous gym received these glorious trophies thanks to the fabulous champions that it produced. The gym Kiatmookao continues to produce extraordinary fighters. For a long time, this experienced professional boxing gym accepted rarely foreign fighters. It was difficult for a foreigner to follow the spartan training that Kiatmookao boxers go through every day. Today, it always takes a very good level in Muay Thai to train with these great champions.
KIATMOOKAO GYM FIGHTERS ARE WELL KNOWN IN ALL MAJOR STADIUMS IN BANGKOK
The owner of the Kiatmookao and champion Singdam teamed up with a passionate foreigner from Muay Thai to open a second Kiatmookao gym. A gym that is more accessible to foreigners whether they are beginners or confirmed in the Art of Muay Thai.
The Kiatmookao Singdum Saint Denis Gym was built right next to the former Kiatmookao gym. It is a large, airy gym with a brand new infrastructure. It opened in July 2019. Two French and one American have already tested the ring of the Kiatmookao Singdum Saint Denis Gym.
KIATMOOKAO SINGDUM SAINT DENIS GYM HAS A NEW BRAND INFRASTRUCTURE
Mr. Gérard Cheung-Lung is the owner of the Kiatmookao Singdum Saint Denis Gym which is an extension of the Kiatmookao Gym. Singdum refers to the most famous of the fighters of the Kiatmookao Gym (Pronounced also Singdam which means the black lion). And Saint Denis is the city where lives Mr. Cheung-Lung, a town on La Reunion Island, a department and overseas region of France. On the logo of the gym, the two small flags above the fists symbolize the regional flag of La Reunion Island.

Mr. Gérard Cheung-Lung started Muay Thai late at the age of 22. He first did Karate, then Judo and then Aikido. After his studies in France, he discovered the Muay Thai, a sport that corresponded more to his level of values and techniques. The percussion and the effectiveness of the strokes of this Art immediately won him over.
Gerard Cheung-Lung has traveled several times to Thailand to discover this sport at his source. In 2015, he opened a Muay Thai gym in La Reunion and named it “Muay Thai Gym Saint Denis”.

On one of his trips to Thailand, he meets Mr. Somros Saatiam. Mr. Saatiam is an influential person in the Muay Thai community in Thailand. He helped Gerard Cheung-Lung set up his gym in Buriram with the Kiatmookao team.

Mr. Somros Saatiam has become his partner and General Manager, he’s in charge of the management of Kiatmookao Singdum Saint Denis Gym. Because Gerard Cheung-Lung is a busy businessman. He lives between Thailand and his island of La Reunion. But his dream of creating a Muay Thai gym in Thailand came true!

The Kiatmookao Singdum Saint Denis Gym has for the moment some boxers, small nakmuays and of course the great champions of the Kiatmookao gym who give lessons in the new gym.
The head coach is Phisai Eiamsiri said Fasai Kiatmoo 9. He coached many stars like Phetpanomrung, Superlek, Rungnarai, Saksri, Den Phuthai, Kongphusing.
Fasai has several important degrees such as, a Bachelor of History of Education in Myanmar, a Masters in Sports Science, and a Class 11 License in Muay Thai by the Thailand Sports Association.
